Oppdal, which has one of the largest alpine skiing centres in Norway, is located between Dovrefjell and the Trollheimen Mountains in Central Norway.
The old handicraft traditions are very much alive. You will find a variety of local workshops with their own outlets in the centre of Oppdal.
Other activities are musk ox safaris, trips with the cable car and canyoning.
