Trondheim has a small and intimate city centre with designer shops and large department stores.

Interest:  Shopping

The official website for Trondheim

There is also a variety of shoe shops. If you prefer shopping for handbags, jewellery or accessories, you will will also have several shops to choose between.

In addition to the small, more unique shops, the city centre has four shopping centres.

Trondheim also offers interior shops suiting any style – and of course shops specializing in other branches: Photography, sports, watches, books, music, hardware, souvenirs and so on.

Modern Solsiden

If you walk across the pedestrian bridge "Verftsbrua", you enter the Solsiden area, Trondheim’s most modern part of town. Here you find a large shopping centre, several cafés and restaurants and many exciting niche shops.

Colourful Bakklandet

If you walk across "Gamle Bybro" (the old town bridge), you will be presented to the lively neighbourhood of Bakklandet. Here you will find old wooden houses painted in different colours and containing everything from cafés and art galleries to antique shops and local designers selling their collections.
