Ridderspranget (The Knight's leap)
Canyon in the Sjoa River. Got its name from the legend of the Valdres knight Sigvat Kvie, who, after stealing a bride, fled with her and jumped across the river with the girl in his arms.
Lom Stave Church
Lom stave church is one of the biggest and most beautiful stave churches in Norway. It dates back to the twelwth century and is still in use. The church is closed during church services. The church in Vågå is also worth a visit.
The Norwegian Mountain Museum - the Jotunheimen National Park Information Centre
Through pictures, objects, sound and light, the Norwegian Mountain Museum - the Jotunheimen National Park Information Centre offers you insight into the correlation between mountains and human beeings.
Different exhibitions give you a guided tour through history, time and space of the human excistence in nature and mountains. The museum's full size models of an adult mammut and a baby mammut are very popular.
Jutulheimen Bygdemuseum and Lom Bygdamuseum
Jutulheimen Bygdemuseum in Vågå and Lom Bygdamuseum in Lom are two open air museums showing how people have lived and worked here earlier.
Fossheim Steinsenter
This museum has Norway's largest collection of minerals and precious stones. Gallery, workshop and shop.
Haukdalen
Haukdalen is peacefully and idyllically situated in Flatmogrenda in Lom. Quaint old buildings surround this traditional smallholding, with a an abundant garden. For many years, Haukdalen was home to Kitty Wentzel, one of Norway"s first women journalists. Kitty was married to the well-known painter Gustav Wentzel.
At Haukdalen there are sketches, paintings and preparatory versions of well-known paintings by Gustav Wentzel and other contemporaries, which have been owned by the Wentzel family.
Homes of authors and poets
You are welcome to visit the homes of the local authors and poets Knut Hamsun(Hamsunstugu), Tor Jonsson (Tor Jossonstugu) and Olav Aukrust (Lyvjaberg).
Nordgard Aukrust Herb Garden
Herb garden and farm shop. Facing the south with sunburnt, brown timber walls as a background, you find the herb garden at Nordgard Aukrust. 150 different herbs marked with Norwegian and Latin names on plates can be studied in the garden.
Flåklypa
The name relates to two stones in the Bøvra River. When farmers were bringing hay down the frozen riverbed from their mountain pastures in winter, parts of the cargo would be knocked off in the narrow gap. At this place Kjell Aukrust was inspired to his famous film success "Flåklypa Grand Prix".

Gallery Jotunheimen is located at Hindseter Fjellhotell in Sjodalen. Gallery Mathilde is located in Bøstugu in Bismo. Here you find local handicraft and wood carvings for sale. Exhibitions of works by regional artists.
Lake Gjende and Jotunheimen National Park
Take the Gjende Boats accross Lake Gjende to see the beauty of Jotunheimen National Park. The boats take you to the heart of the national park and from the stops at Memurubu and Gjendebu you have plenty of hiking options.
