Express buses from Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim stop in the area several times a day. The nearest train station is Otta on the Dovre railway line. There are local bus connections to many places in the mountains in the main season (end of June till mid-August). Two daily bus connections Otta – Vågå - Lom - Sogndal.
There are lots of possibilities. From the south on E6 from Oslo/ Lillehammer or rv. 51 from Fagernes. From Bergen E16 via Lærdal, ferry from Fodnes to Mannheller and rv. 55 from Sogndal to Lom. From Stryn eastwards on rv. 15. From Geiranger on rv.63 and 15.
